In an ongoing effort to find innovative ways to connect with home buyers and sellers, today CENTURY 21 Real Estate will become the first and only national real estate company to set up shop in SimCity Social, a popular Facebook game from Electronic Arts Inc. (EA). This launch marks the brand’s second foray into social gaming, following last year’s highly successful marketing integration with ngmoco’s mobile game, We City.
EA’s SimCity Social is a Facebook game in which players create and expand their own real estate empires. Users can name their city, set up buildings, design landscaping, increase the population and add tourist attractions. Through the game, we’ll be connecting with players – the majority who fall into the 25-to-34 age group (representing the largest share of first time homebuyers) – in a fun and creative way that fits seamlessly into an activity we know they enjoy – building and expanding their cities through real estate.
“This campaign showcases our brand on the largest social network in a fun and creative way that resonates with an increasingly influential audience – gamers,” says Bev Thorne, chief marketing officer of Century 21 Real Estate LLC. “We see this as a creative opportunity to deliver the dream of homeownership to millions who are intent on investing in real estate virtually, and eventually, in reality.”
Did you know that 81 million people play social games at least once a day? (Source: PopCap Games 2011). And that 44% of those Facebook gamers are most likely to influence their family and friends? (Source: 2012 Simmons Research). The CENTURY 21 brand will now be front and center in one of Facebook’s most popular games, virtually delivering the dream of homeownership to SimCity Social’s millions of players.
Players can add a CENTURY 21 Office building to their city today through November 4th.
