From April 1st to April 3rd in the world’s financial epicenter, New York City, the Asian Real Estate Association of America (AREAA) held its inaugural Global Summit attracting more than 550 participants from across the United States and many global markets. Rick Davidson, president and CEO, Century 21 Real Estate LLC, hosted a reception for more than 400 of the attendees on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange. During the reception Mr. Davidson provided an overview of the brand’s global presence and the importance of Asia in particular to its overall growth strategy.
The CENTURY 21 brand has a powerful presence in the Asia Pac marketplace with more than 2,700 offices and over 27,000 real estate professionals across the region. In fact, in March at the CENTURY 21 Global Conference in New Orleans, the brand crowned its number one agent in the world, Yamada Chisho from CENTURY 21 Japan in Tokyo.
In his remarks at the AREAA Global Summit, Rick Davidson shared, “Our brand has deep, long-lasting relationships throughout Asia and we feel strongly that the Asia Pac market continues to represent a major growth opportunity for our company.”
How does CENTURY 21 position itself as an international leader? By affiliating and training globally savvy sales professionals. Davidson continued, “Global is the new local. We have consumers from around the world buying and selling properties from continent to continent and country to country. The ‘global consumer’ is seeking the best real estate professionals with the most comprehensive market data and through our global network we are able to deliver.” According to the National Association of Realtors, and further indicating the global market opportunity, total residential international sales in the U.S. alone for the past year equaled $82 billion, up 24% over 2010.
To continue building the brand’s global position and expand its agent’s capability and expertise, CENTURY 21 has convened a Global Taskforce. This distinguished group of real estate professionals represents Century 21’s top 11 countries and regions throughout the world and is focused on bolstering the company’s global capabilities across three key areas:
1. Technology and Data Collection and Global Listing Capability
2. A Global Referral Program
3. Global Branding and Marketing Initiatives
Davidson closed his remarks by sharing, “As our global referral network grows the opportunity to transact more business around the world is unlimited. We could not be more excited about our global position and what that means in terms of the services that are provided to the consumer and the growth opportunity that exists for our affiliates and agents around the world.”
Century 21 Real Estate LLC is committed to strengthening its relationship with the Asian Real Estate Association of America. Many CENTURY 21 real estate sales professionals are members of AREAA and the company has hosted delegations at Century 21 Real Estate International headquarters in Parsippany, NJ and CENTURY 21 offices in Beijing and Shanghai.
