We’re blogging live today, tomorrow and Friday from Inman News’ Real Estate Connect in New York City. You can follow all the action in real time by following us on Twitter, @Century21, and following the event hashtag, #ICNY.

This morning Inman’s Chief Evangelist Chris Smith (@Chris_Smth) and Social Media Director Katie Lance (@KatieLance) shared the results of a recent survey they conducted of who they call “the agents of tomorrow.” They surveyed agents who make $100,000 a year to find out what they love and hate about working in real estate.

Some of the survey results were quite surprising:

You are our agents of tomorrow, what do you think about these findings?

“The #1 reason an agent will leave your brokerage: lack of technology support” I’m a huge fan of Chris Smiths, followed him for years now.

I’d like to comment on the tech support part of the survey. Brokers have to not only be involved with the internet but they need to keep up and support it. The “we have a web site” attitude just doesn’t get it done anymore. What I do on the internet is light years ahead of what any other agent is doing in my area and I’m way, way behind the curve nationally. Social Media is growing faster than anything else out there, it’s nearly impossible to keep up with it all. But to embrace it and try to learn what you can is KEY!
